Subject: RE: Current cost for cattle fencing

South Texas
Triple corners, 4 steels and then a wood, 12’ spacing, 6 strand gaucho. Just under $2/ft, not including dozer work. I act as the contractor, buy the material and pay the labor then deal with getting the money out of a bunch of land owners, otherwise if the fence guys have to deal with all that bs they’re about $3. I build cross fence myself it uses free telephone pole corners, all steel posts beat 2.5’ in the ground, 20’ space with one stay, 5 wire gaucho. About 40c/ft no labor and it goes up quick not having any wood line posts and the long space.
