Corn is the rotation for us to break some of the wheat pressure in the Wheat.. so we atrazine and rotate a fall crop across it.. We usually stubble back the first year just to get back to wheat.. others will fallow. Then we'll usually have a decent wheat yeild that 2nd year after corn.
"what we do." doesn't make it right.. just what we do.
btw.. it's been a good run but I'm finally pitching my wheat longs this am.. pulled about a dollar out of the market. about the only thing associated with wheat that has worked.. ha!
Now I'm starting to contract into this rally.. not sure it's over.. but hopefully will have something to sell. I'm locking in some Dec 18 and some Dec 19.. cautiously.. still think the crop will be smaller than previous years.. the basis has improved quite a bit.. sold some 20 under ord's yesterday.
Everyday now is a day closer to a rain.. someday it'll do it.. I hope. |
