East Central, Nebraska | its not really like rtk at all. its not sub inch and not repeatable. not only that but its about double of what rtk costs and on standard convergence like your talking about it can take around 45 minutes to get to full accuracy and that accuracy can be lost around buildings and trees which will then having you waiting to receive full accuracy. the way that sellers of rtx get around this is to set the accuracy threshold at 12 inches or so, this allows you to keep steering but in turn have no clue your no where near the claimed 2 inches RTX advertises.
i have a neighbor on rtx that called me over to see what is going on with his tractor, every now and then he would have wide and narrow guess rows. what was happening is that he was losing signal and his threshold was at 10 inches it was no where near accurate enough for his strip tilling but it would let him steer anyhow because that is how it was set by the dealer and the dealer knew that if he had to wait a half hour every time he lost signal they would be getting complaints.
moral of the story if your using a 750 it is very easy to see what accuracy your converged to, it is on one of the status pages right on the home screen. pay close attention to that number and you find the claimed 2" is never really 2". if you really want to be frustrated with what your paying for RTX service set the threshold at about 2 inches and see how much you get done in a day. i mean that is what your paying for right, rtk accuracy?
dont be afraid to run on rtk with an ezsteer, i have a few neighbors doing it. no the steering does not react as fast as all the other options but it will keep you accurate and repeatable if you get it started straight.
