Just got through the new rural king. This store appears to be a cross of Walmart and the coop. Havest king oil is cheap compared to anything else. So Would you use harvest king oil?

I was running their HYD oil the last couple years..... Had more powertrain/hyd failures on our equipment than ever before. Don't know if it was coincidence or the oil, but I'm done with it personally.

As I get older I'm figuring out that generally you get what you pay for, especially so if you go cheap.

Guys using bargain brand grease on equipment that's worth more than what most people make in 2-5 years makes sense right?

Test- If you lay your grease on it's side for a few days and the grease all moves in the tube- your grease isn't staying where you put it, and isn't that what it's supposed to do? Also, if you see any oil top or bottom when you pull the caps off. that means the lubrication properties of the grease has just left for the day.

Another perk of running good grease/oil- you can run it longer, which offsets the cost, and still get better protection.
