If ethanol is cheaper than gas then why is it mandated. Why wouldn't a refiner want to use all the cheaper ingredient of ethanol they could use instead of having to put in more higher priced ingredients. Or for the truth of the matter is gas and it's octane products actually cheaper than ethanol for the refiner. And that is why he is forced to use it.
Why do we need the rfs?
