Subject: RE: Where is the navy's 5th fleet at? Bahrain Quatar.

Central North Carolina

JonSCKs - 2/27/2018 11:12 Golly where is our 5th fleet based? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Fifth_Fleet The Fifth Fleet is a numbered fleet of the United States Navy. It has been responsible for naval forces in the Persian Gulf, Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and parts of the Indian Ocean since 1995 after a 48-year hiatus. It shares a commander and headquarters with U.S. Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT) in Bahrain. Worth it? Probably.. are we gonna have to use it? Again?

What is the 7th fleet in Asia protecting, our grain shipments, car suppliers. Our military is deployed sure to keep shipping lanes open world wide, but also to protect all our interest from crazy countries like NK and Iran and to protect our ally Israel.
Seems to me US oil interest would benefit from higher oil prices and lack of stability in the middle east. How is keeping oil prices down helping the evil oil giants. OPEC keeps their profits. Keeping oil prices down benefit US consumers for decades before ethanol.

And even if all that is military stuff is true, it is not going to change and is not an excuse for further market manipulations by government. Two wrongs don't make a right. This is only about farmers wanting more profit and they need government help. You got a big tax cut already
