CentralNEFarmer - 2/27/2018 10:51 If it is wrong for ethanol to force its way into the fuel supply, it is wrong for a pipeline to force its way across private property utilizing Eminent Domain. Us in agriculture should realize nothing is free, a gossamer thread is often attached to a chain, and with each government dollar, comes responsibilities determined by a bureaucrat somewhere. The oil industry has built its distribution network utilizing the threat of government force. The first land condemned paved the way to the RFS.

So was rural electrification (rightaways) are just for electric company profits, are roads just for wal-mart distribution, crazy talk.

Folks get paid for property used in eminent domain. Not always fair to everyone but emient domain is an important part of life today. Need a new public school to deal with population growth and you need somewhere to put it, bingo. Pipelines save lives and reduce cost to consumers, you know that.  Rural water system  - just another government intrusion on private property rights.

Douglas all good points when ever ethanol is questioned posters bring up "military, lives lost, ect." which was true but now Canada is biggest suppier of crude to US....Also NAT views farm subsidies as "consumer sibsidies"...we farmers in US and Canada get programs/protection/subsidies that very few private business get---NAT should just ban discussions on ethanol, guns,Trump, diacamba, ect.
