Subject: RE: Spider bite

north central Oklahoma
BTDT. Tinkering around an old wooden shed on an old farmstead (figured that's where I got it). Didn't even know I got bit most of the day. 'Twas feeling crappy that evening, came to the house and wife says "why don't you get in hot tub and relax". Wrong thing to do if'n ya know ya have a spider bite. I was in emergency room in less than 30 minutes with a swollen up lower leg, fever running high, antobiotic drip with steroids, and a 3 day stay in hospital. They said sitting in the hot water rushed the venom in the bloodstream. I didn't lose any hide over the deal as most recluse bites are famous for, so I don't know what I got bit by, but don't want to do it again.

Best advice - don't get in hot water after a spider bite.
