Subject: RE: Iron Filter System

North Central Illinois
We've been using a Culligan system for a long time. It is a softener with an iron remover system built into it. It does need some service from time to time and it was expensive. It sure cleaned our water up though. We had a regular softener with an iron removal system added on for a long time. This was also a Culligan system and used the exchange tanks. It worked okay too but you would burn through a softener every few years. We have had the current system for quite a while and I'm just waiting for Culligan to tell us we will have to replace it soon. I hate the expense but you haven't seen an unhappy woman until you encounter one carrying an armload of her white socks and underwear that have turned orange!
