A big part of what is making the 6.5CM "Hot" is the twist rate, barrel life, size for popular actions and available ammo.
The standard twist is fast enough to stabilize the long and heavy bullets that deliver the sectional density and ballistic efficiency for long range.
The folks who shoot competitions also like the longer barrel life that is claimed.
Also the option to feed it through an ar10 or short action.
Lastly the parent case has been picked up by many manufacturers. Many offer both large and small primer pockets
I went with a 260 gas gun over the 6.5, supposedly feeds better .
Here's a 6" plate at 600 yds, Hope to shrink that down abit
A few more.
