| About 9:00 this morning I thought I would dig myself out of the driveway and see what the roads were like. After about a half hour of digging I made it out of the driveway and to the black top a quarter mile from home. The snowplow had just gone on the black top so I just followed it on in to town. The town street crew had the two main drags through town cleaned off with piles of snow in the middle of the streets eight feet high. On the way back from town the snow picked up and the visibility was down to about a hundred yards and the road that the snowplow opened up less than 45 minutes earlier was rapidly blowing shut again. Kind of ironic just two or three days earlier I was out trying to stop a field from blowing and there were time that afternoon that the visibility was down to about a hundred yards from the dust blowing. Got love this Kansas weather. I figure we had about 10 to 12 inches of wet snow.
