| and it sounds like we might get another blast but nothing like the first. "Official" reports were around 17" in this area. All of it came sideways with 50-80 mph winds reported. Twice as much snow in the Black Hills. Should make late season skiers and snowmobilers happy.
I haven't heard of any major livestock loss in the area. Tough on baby calves and the sloppy after effects when it starts to melt will be too.
I'm still almost a month away from calving myself.
Edit: Gal on the radio this morning reported 3-5 ft of new snow in the ski areas.
