Can you get any sort of measurements off of yours ?

I'm thinking I might be able to bend the tab with the bolt hole in my first picture to tilt the diffuser slightly forward  which will help some but if the actual Shoup diffuser was shorter that would help too.

Is the 1770 mounting the same? I'd like to know the distance from the bottom of the diffuser up to the square tube it passes through ? Also how does the Shoup diffuser attach to the bracket ? Is is just the clear tube and hose clamp that provides upwards tension on the diffuser ?

 7000's had a clip that passed through and retained them somehow. My planter has the slots for the clips but there were none included when I bought the insecticide boxes and added this to my planter.
