Looking at doing a Sell Nov.18-- Buy March or May 19 Soybeans (Bear spread I guess?)
Currently at about -.03 carry
What months pretty sure sell the Nov.-- but buy the March May or what?
Is this a dumb move?
I've only did a few spreads so need HELP

Any thoughts or comments appreciated --Looks like a (YOU CAN'T LOOSE) deal-- been there many times LOL

Thanks Dan
Edit-- my thoughts-- should go to + .15 to the March

When you buy the front end (March, May, July etc) and sell the back end.. .that's considered a bull spread.

The problem you might run into is these spreads have moved a lot already and you may be jumping in a little late. I would consider the JULY/NOVEMBER if you want to spread but let it come back a little first.

I think Dan is talking about doing the opposite of that? I've never done the spreads before, but in my simple mind, with as little as the carry is from Nov 18 on out through the next several months, he may be on to something?
