I'll second this, I have PVC manifolds made to connect 275 gallon totes for rain water, after about 3-4 years for me, I have to really watch for the brittleness too.
I keep them inside over winter,
To OP...it will work on the suction side, I would have a valve between the inductor tank and your plumbing what you have pictured.
I do something similar with my home main fill setup, but I have a valve also on the main water reservoir supply too. I should install a check valve, as one time I got interrupted while filling and ended up getting chemical bled back in my water tank, luckily I caught it and was able to use what very little contaminated water in the next batch, then washed out my reservoir tank thoroughly. | |
