I read that also . . . . First thought I had was, Dumb a** landowner never got cash up front for all the years as part of the conditions . . . 

I've had land rented out from under me over the years (sandy loam / gravel - very limited production). Others think they can pay more and make it big . . .  Landowner comes back a yr or two later wondering if I want to farm it again - never got all his rent pymts . . . . I rent it again . .
