| I ordered seed boots for my John Deere 750 grain drill. When I installed them they didn't quite look right but it was my first time putting the new boots on. So needless to say I really didn't know what it was supposed to look like. I started planting in the spring material was bunching between the blade in the boot. Needless to say after hours of scratching my head I called Sloan only to find out that there was a recall on those boots the manufacturer had a bad casting. I was pissed. They could have at least looked At their orders for the people that have bought them during the farm show and called them or emailed them to tell them there may have been a defect. They pretty much let people find out for themselves. Needless to say they made it right and shiped me new boots they wouldn't refund my money. Working on those drills is a pain let alone doing it twice. I have stayed away from Sloan since. I've actually been buying my consumables right from Deere. I still get some things from shop but the old saying always seems to ring true you get what you pay for. | |
