Subject: RE: CaseIH 2600 corn heads

NE SD
Ran a 2608 for about 6 years. The snouts and snout support brackets were a joke. Maybe newer ones are different? Mine was a 2009. Also the snouts and the hoods over gather chains are very thin and were through fast. I also had 2 gear boxes go bad. I also kept a main drive chain on hand. I broke one every year. Maybe the newer ones are better or different but I cant say much good about the one I had. It also shells corn and looses it terribly bad. The JD head is light years ahead.
good luck
