It might be possible with enough cutting and welding. The feeder house on a 3300 is slightly narrower then a 55. We are talking 28 3/4" on the 3300 vs 30" on the 55.  That shouldn't matter too much.  There is a Case guy over on ytmag that retrofitted a 105 quick tack feeder house to a Case 1660.  The 105 feeder house was 2" narrower then the original feeder house on the 1660.  If that is possible then what you thinking should be too.
