Subject: Re: EZ steer T2 mounting location

Get creative, the controller can also be mounted vertically with the connectors pointing down. I did a Cat 85C last week (mounted vertically behind the seat with velcro and some screws) with RTK and it was accurate after a good roll cal within .75 inch pass to pass and repetitive pass. The largest problem I have had with 7XXX series is the steering column bushings. if they start to wear then it gets hard for the motor to correct, a new set and some silicon spray fixes it though. I have mounted a couple in the front right of the cab, just make sure the customer understands to put NOTHING on the controller or on the floor that could hit the controller. I heard of a tech traveling almost 200 miles for a custoemr complaning that his EZ-steer would start swerving and it would gradually get worse. The culprit? A waterjug sat on the controller, the water would start swishing and the controller would detect the movement since it was poorly fastened and think the tractor was leaning, then back and forth.......
