I think it was called "Shorty's" in Ponca City OK. Not a place for slightly underage farm boys to be visiting..especially if one of the aforementioned farmboys was somewhat obnoxious when he wasn't drinking. The owner was a nice enough fellow, he had actually invited us there when we were asked to leave a pool hall we were patronizing. It was some of the customers that proved to be the problem. I try to learn something everywhere I go. The lesson from Shorty's was that I do not go to bars that require going down stairs to enter, the entrance isn't the problem...it is the wanting to leave in a hurry that concerns me. I haven't yet violated that rule.
