Subject: RE: Planter drag chains_optional installation?

Between Omaha and Des Moines, 7 miles South of I80

I saved a picture of Buster 50's loop, he had on his drag chains; thought I could add that hoop plus a hook or something.

Von mentioned about using threaded chain repair links, which could be unscrewed. (note: I just hammered down (assembled) all the links today. Ah shucks)

I had remembered that someone had done the hose thingy, and someone else had welded some of the first links.(reading NAT for a number of years)

I do think, that I need to be prepared to hold them up, or removed them quickly, before planting time.(maybe mostly in old corn ground; not too worried about soybean stubble)

I know Dawn Equipment, has a video stating, I don't need drag chains, with their Curvetines; but this is a pretty cheap test. ($232 for 8 rows)
