I converted a Wilmer with a hydraulic drive motor off of a 1770nt planter. There was a factory gear reduction on the spreader via a driven shaft with a smaller tooth sprocket, that drove a larger sprocket on the apron chain. I use my motor to drive that countershaft, rather than a direct chain drive. It works awesome. I will see if I can post some pics later.
