Subject: RE: allis chalmers wc, wd ,wd45

The unstyled WC was first about 1937 though I'm not an expert. I do have a 9 part WC service manual that will show many details on line in my directory at: http://www.geraldj.networkiowa.com/Trees

The WD was an upgrade from the styled WC. A year or two before the WD45 came out the WD transmission was changed from straight gears to helical gears and the WD used that same transmission.

WD45 crankshaft, rods, and pistons do fit WD blocks. The WD block has a large plate bolted on the right hand side and that is not present in the WD45 block.

You can join the forum at http://www.allischalmers.com/forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=2&PN=1&titl...
and ask as many and as detailed questions as you wish. There are many there who have owned or still own all three tractors and several who repair them along with a few who sold them.
