I would fix the problem, not put a bandage on it. Rip the electric boiler out and put an LP one in. Heated a shot a little bigger then yours on 600 gallons of lp last year set at 50. Cheap LP made it less then $500 for the whole year. You will still have high costs with the electric with the supplement.
