Pilot Grove, Missouri | I use the one notched disc and one smooth disc on my double disc fert openers. It does help some, but the notched disc is larger diameter which creates some side force on the whole opener. This hasn't caused any real problems in the 4 years I have used them set up this way. As far as drag chains, I run one 15"spike and one standard rubber closing wheel with drag chains behind like the job it does. Patrick | |
