Subject: RE: John Deere round balers

Southern Pa.
There are only two round balers with any decent support in our area. NH and JD. Can't comment on the other brands. Definitely get netwrap. We use all coveredge, and get along great. Very few issues. (We get it from JD)

JD probably has 85% of the market in our area. Had a friend of mine lose a 468 in a shed fire this summer. Neighbors brought in two very late model NH round balers to help out. They were baling straw. If that 468 would have been running, it would have baled as many bales in a day as both NH round balers put together, and made nicer bales to boot. What a joke.

I am totally serious. Buy a 468 if you can swing it.

Edited to add. 7 series are great balers, 8 series are hay hogs. Don't buy a worn out 8 series over a nice 7 series in order to stay in your budget.
