Won't find a better brand than JD. If you're thinking at all of doing silage, by all means, it's worth it. The net wrap is also a must, both for better bales and time savings, especially if your thinking of doing some custom work. We don't have the knife kit on ours but those who do have it say it's a plus. Ours is a 467SS with 1000 rpm pto and will do a 48in wide by up to 72in high. Run it with a 4055 with power to spare. The only issue we've had was with the net wrap when we were actually using the JD Cover-edge wrap. We switched to a 51in generic brand and problems ceased.
