Subject: RE: Hydraulic options for 725 loader on 4020

There is an elbow on the right side of the transmission that feeds the lift. Its easy to replace it with a T to tap into hydraulic pressure. And the proper return is to the transmission filter cover on the left side of the transmission. The first Deere tractor with return there was 2640 and that drilled and tapped filter cover is supposed to fit the 4020.

I mounted a MF274 loader on my early 4020 and built a hydraulic panel on the right side of the dash so I could hook loader and a three point back hoe. I put a needle valve in the pressure feed to each to keep the cylinders from moving way too fast. On my equipment 5 gpm is plenty, 20 gpm is too hard to control.
