NE S.Dakota
I just had this conversation with a low acre farmer on Saturday, he has been looking. Here, the Combine demolition derby has taken a lot of nice older combines from the market.

We had a 1440 for 30 years, served us well. I know where there is a 1460, 1440,1420 all retired farmers sitting on them, in sheds, but South Dakota is a long way from Mass.

A friend of mine just sold a TR86? New Holland into Michigan, I helped load it on a trailer, seems like the Driver said it was a $6000 haul, around 1000 miles.

Good luck on your search, I am sure the right unit will come along.

Back in the early 80's I was a salesman, and got into the Wheat area near the Missouri River in South Dakota, I was impressed that MF had a parts truck that traveled with the Custom Harvestor's...................now I know why

The Custom guys all seem to run Deere now.
