Osakis, MN | Each one of these posts surprise me about hard starting. I just replied to a different thread about how a 6200 we have will start awesome in cold weather. Last year it sat on the auger outside for a week of subzero temps. Was sitting on a farm 6 miles away and when I started it I pushed the key in for a 10 or 15 second heating and it started within seconds of cranking.
I put a new battery in it a couple years ago and the JD parts guy said that the battery I exchanged for a new one had to be the original battery. If not it was at least 8 yrs old that's how long we had it. Starts like a champ.
9370 with a 855 Cummins big cam mechanical pump. That one needs plugged in below 40 degrees. When it does start it coughs and hacks and looks like the forest is on fire for a while.
