Another non osha approved safety feature we should be doing (but not in that picture) is to bolt a chain from the upper part of the scaffold to the cross tube of the loader frame. You make the chain just long enough so that when the scaffold is in its highest position the chain is taunt. What this does is that in the event of a hose break or someone accidentally hitting the bucket dump lever the scaffold can not tip over to horizontal level. At maximum height it will do nothing as the chain is taunt and at various lower levels it might go as far as 45 degrees but not all the way over. Hopefully the side rails will catch someone from falling off. Never had it happen but it could.

Our rule is that the tractor never moves or the hydraulics are never lifted or moved while someone is standing. We always sit or kneel down and hang on to the grab rail during any movements. We are also very particular who we let on the tractor. It is a lot safer than working off a ladder at any rate.
