AggieTeacher - 1/2/2018 16:03 So went to renew my cdl medical card today and was told by the dot quack, basically that because I am old (54) and fat (5'10" and 260#) that I am unsafe to operate a commercial vehicle until I do a sleep study. Just had a full blown physical by my regular Dr last week and nothing was ever mentioned about a sleep study. I fact all test were within the normal ranges. I will say I have high blood pressure but it has been maintained by medicine for years. Therefore I only get a year at a time on my med card which I can live with. This quack gave me a 90 day card so I can go get a sleep study. Has something changed since last year that I don't know about. Oh while waiting in waiting room noticed a sign that said if you were unruly, disturbed the peace or used profanity you would be asked to leave and if not the police would be called and charges filed. Thought that was funny until I had talked with the quack then I understood.
