I have "heard" that it is possible to get 280 at 1900rpm with after-market injectors in those 270's. You will know if you see one in the field because they throw a haze out of the muffler. However if they start heating on you case sells a lockup kit for the engine fan, and a cooling sleeve for the exhaust to keep the air cleaner cool. It will have more power and use the same or less fuel to do it.
