I know this has nothing to do with this but I used to have an JD 8100T that we put 2-250 gal chem farm stainless tanks (on each side like you are saying) in front of the tracks. It rode rough crossing ditches but it was rough with them empty too. Not much changed actually. Just figure out what your tanks will weigh full, then look in the owners manual to see what the max weight is up there. I have not had trouble going over on weight but 25% over reccomendation would be the max would want to go. I am in the process of mounting tanks on a MT 765 right now actually, I have thought about tanks on the nose but I think I will be putting them on the outside of the undercarriage.
