Give Carl a call at sac - it is very possible that he might have some used bars that could be had cheap plus an older scale head that would work well for you.

I bought an Oswalt mixer a couple years ago, ended up needing 2 bars and the scale head worked on. Had one used bar at about half cost of new, but had to get a new hitch bar (those are the ones that typically go out first). Did some messing around with the scale head - and got it working good. Otherwise I was probably looking at about $1200 for a simple scale to replace it.
