We fed for years using a stopwatch. However feeding 4 or 5 bunches you had to fill each time to be accurate. With a scale you can load it up and feed as many groups as you can hold feed for. The scales are really a time saver in my opinion. Also that bulk tank doesn’t always run just the same, either.
