Northwest kansas | "Here" they charge by the hour. About $300 an hour. I know of many operators here that used to own a grinder and now have it custom done. Way less hassle, way less time, and usually less cost. I can't imagine owning a $10000 and the hardness it causes on a pto from what I have read on here. One particle operator I know of said he would take all day saturday, every week, to grind his hay for the next week. He now has the custom guy come in and in 1-2 hours has enough hay for a couple of weeks at least. | |
