With good quality green 500# steer calves I’d expect 400# of gain per acre on rye with the addition of salt /mineral and 5# of rolled corn/head/day. I’d assume wheat would be similar....plant beans a week before final plant date for insurance. If wheat is grazed off and beans planted timely....full first crop insurance on beans. If wheat is already insured for grain, idk. Call your agent. Win/win.
