Subject: RE: Cows on turnips and radishes

Driftless SW Wisconsin

Give them a little at a time or they will waste a lot of it by trampling or manure. They develop a taste for both the turnips and radishes. The cows will pull both out of the ground and eat the bulbs first until the radishes get very large and won't pull out. Then they just chomp the radishes off at ground level.
