Work with the dogs strong points, only you know that.  Border collies are natural headers so that should be a good starting point.  You should be able to get her to bring animals to you. IMO a very solid attribute when you can go open a gate and the dog can bring the animal to you on command.  You can work on healing with her, most border collies will to some degree some won't.  Probably one of the more important things starting a dog is to make sure she knows you are boss, she never leads unless you let her.  Also a pet peeve of mine.  I can't stand dogs that lead their owners around.
