Texas/New Mexico Stateline | OK here is one I can't seem to figure out, but it isn't animal production.
I fill my semi with fuel, write down the miles, gallons, price. Then figure it by hand to figure out MPG, and cost per mile.
The challenge for me is sometimes I don't fill the tank fully. So I can't figure the mileage on that fill, I have to wait until the next fill, combine those gallons with the previous to calculate the mpg, and cost.
I wish I could just put in the gallons, price and something for "not full", then the spreadsheet would know to total the previous fills, with the one where I top it up.
I've been using Google sheets so I can do it on my phone. Not a big problem, but thought it would be an interesting project.
750,000 150 gallon $3.75 =====
751,000 190 gallon $3.70 ======
751,xxx 100 gallon/not full $3.70 =====
752,000 130 gallon $3.80 ====== accurate mpg
etc.
