Subject: RE: Eaton Fuller 9 speed shift pattern variations

Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS

Backward shift pattern usually indicates that it is an overdrive transmission. If you have ever heard the expression "Throw it up against the dash." That's what they're talking about. I can't remember the designations right now but the same transmission is available with the standard shift pattern. If memory serves correctly the overdrive is about 27%.

Edit to add: I think I remember that the "turned around 8 and 9" is designated by the letters RTO and the standard shift pattern of a 9 speed overdrive is RTX, but memory is sketchy at best as I haven't dealt with any of this in several years.
