SW NE | Run as hard as you can.................to your Claas dealer. After purchasing our second Krone (we didn't learn our lesson on the first one!) in '12, we bought to Claas choppers in '14. The last few years, we have put about the same amount in the Krone each year as we put in both Claas machines combined. Very disappointing. Resale on the Krone is horrendous. Very few dealers will even consider trading them in. We even tried to trade it at a Krone dealer for a used Class, and they preferred not to trade it in! Company support in the heat of silage season has been disappointing at best. (It's not a wise idea to schedule company meetings for territory service reps during silage season)
The machine itself is not nearly as refined, not nearly as polished as the Class. Maintenance is not as well thought out compared to Class.
About the only things the Krone has going for it is, a quiet roomy cab, and phenomenal capacity (when it's actually running). | |
