Northwest iowa | Best bet would be to hire a qualified Krone mechanic to inspect it and tell you what it needs, especially if you don’t have any service history. All big choppers, including Krone, can take tens of thousands of dollars to make field ready. That machine is a beast when running up to speed. I’ve watched one gobble up 2 ton per acre first cut 70 feet at a time at six mph.
There are several Big x1000 and 1100 choppers running in this area that were bought at auction and brought in from far away. Fabers Farm Equiptment will be your best bet to keep this machine running strong. They have lots of experience with them.
