Texas/New Mexico Stateline | I did an in-frame in our 1086 several years back. I ordered Federal-Mogul/Sealed power kit from our local NAPA. Seems like it was about $1800.
I haven't had any trouble except it has always used a little oil when it didn't before. I don't know if I didn't get the rings seated good during break-in or what. It is not excessive, but it will use about a gallon in 100 hours. Before, it wouldn't use any between oil changes.
We had to overhaul it due to cavitation on the sleeves.
