It's all good. I do agree with you that there are young children today with a whole bunch of peer pressure that can really mess things up.

Only thing I might ask, is that you have a look at your thoughts about people that mention peer pressure as looking for sympathy. It's not always that they are looking for sympathy for themselves, or even that they are using peer pressure as an excuse. Some are just concerned, as you seem to be as well, that peer pressure can affect one's social life at later ages.

I can only use myself as an example. I was very self conscience and insecure as a child and young adult. I'm adopted, left handed, fat, wore glasses, freckles, red hair, last name rhyme's with cowturd, etc. Consequently, the teasing made me flat scared of girls. But no one else in the family knew what it was like to be me, so as I entered high school and still was not dating, then graduated and still not married or have children, not only the family was looking at me odd, but so were their friends and families. Thankfully I'm one of the lucky ones to have been too scared to make a wrong decision about marriage and family just to appease the peers. Now days, I no longer feel the effects of peer pressure and though very few look to me as a peer, I do my best to make them know they are free to make their decisions and help them realize that decisions made  under pressure are 90% of the time the wrong decision.
