God's Country (N.C. Ia)
"Oh ye of little faith" Boone. I think you'd admit that it takes a lot of faith sometimes to see things through when things in marriage aren't going so well. That is the beef I have with wydave's post. Stats are stats and I do agree, but if we all knew those when we were 20, none of us would probably want to get hitched. I guess what I'm trying to say is marriage requires a leap of faith. Kinda like getting into farming I guess. No one knows if it will work or not, and as Dave points out, statistically the deck is stacked against us whether it be having a successful farming operation or a long lasting love-filled marriage. Let's face it, both require a lot of hard work. I'm willing to do the work and I know my spouse is too. That's one big thing we had in common from the start and it was a good place to start as well.
Not intended to be directed completely at you Boone, but your post made me realize what was missing in wydaves that I couldn't quite put my finger on till now. Thanks.
