NS Canada		Another thing I see amongst the married folks is women are often encouraged to leave their marriage and will give up easier than the men nowadays, where that used to be a frightening thought for a woman.

More often a man will put his head down and do what needs to be done to just keep things going and caring for the family, perhaps drinking more than he should and keeping his mouth shut to not upset the boat.

Women on the other hand will leave at the drop of a hat now and Facebook and the like will encourage it with comments like - you go girl, you're so strong/brave, you don't need him, you'll have a blast, 40 is the new 30 (20?).. etc

What in the hell...

I've seen a number of women who couldn't/didn't have children early on, kind of lived a party/care free life, but thought they wanted the kids and marriage, then once they got it they hated it and the men ended up watching the kids, cooking, cleaning all on top of working. All while the ladies needed 'time for themselves'
