SE MN | I don't agree that coupling up is inherently good. Plenty of guys who put everything into their wife and family to end up paying for kids they don't get to see and a wife they don't get to sleep with. Also plenty of couples in the past who stayed together and shouldn't have. A great family life is the best thing that can happen to a man and a bad family life is probably the worst. As far as the MGTOW guys, there is some useful information there for guys who don't naturally "get it", but the actual people are pretty toxic. Mostly guys who can't get laid and are looking for a place to vent. They would abandon their so called principals in a second given the opportunity. I think everybody is programmed to want the traditional stuff, but times have changed and it just isn't available to some. The whole divorce and child support situation has been covered, but it goes deeper than that. In the past, showing up and putting in an honest day's work earned a man respect in his community, a home, stay at home wife and kids who appreciated what he provided. Now men's opportunities have taken a hit while women have improved their lot to the point that they vastly outnumber men in higher education. When these guys look around they see women who don't need them, communities that don't care to support them, an education system that has been tailored for feminine learning styles and demeanor, and a job market that is outsourcing the kind of semi-skilled labor that young men are good at to robots, cheap immigrants, or foreign slave equivalents as fast as humanly possible.
